Important note for GPG Members – All entries need to be in the hands of the Club Competition Secretary by 15th March 2020. For further details contact email@example.com.
The NCPF Annual Photographic Competition takes place over the weekend of 25th /26th March 2020 and is primarily an individual competition, but also includes a Club Competition. This differs from the “Clubs Championship” in that it is not open to general viewing.
The Open Competition consists of three sections - Colour Prints, Mono Prints and Digital images, but there will also be a Beginner’s Competition with two sections – Colour and Mono Prints together; and Digital Images.
All individual entries must be made through the Clubs of which they are members. Photographers who are members of more than one club can only enter through one club. From these entries the Club may select 6 images in each of the categories to enter on behalf of the Club. These entries will automatically be entered in the Individual competition but count towards the total number of entries the individual is allowed to submit.
Individuals can submit up to three entries in each of the three categories in the Open Competition (but see previous paragraph) and two in each of the two categories in the Beginner’s Competition. In the Club Competitions, the club can only enter a maximum of two entries per member per category.
Print mounts must be 50cm by 40 cm, and Digital Images 1400 by 1050. If prints are submitted at 20” by 16” and are selected to go on to higher competitions, entrants must agree to have their mounts reduced to 50cm by 40cm or they will not be eligible to be accepted at a higher level.
Following the Open Competition, images will then be scrutinised for best images in the categories of Portrait, Landscape, Nature and Creativity. Entries should not be categorised, as the judges will make their own selections.
Prints and Digital images may then be selected by NCPF to proceed on to higher competitions but only if they adhere to the sizes mentioned above.
